Queer Legacy
Over the Rainbow Project is a passion project by Paule Michael Armstrong working to immortalize Queer narratives at end-of-life and build support systems for dying queer community members.
Over the Rainbow Project is in Genesis Phase:
Looking for Queer/TLGBQIA2S+ identifying participants in San Francisco/Bay Area who are contemplating their mortality and/or are at end-of-life with a desire to leave their life story as a legacy.
Over the Rainbow Project is free to participate in. As a participant, Paule will record an interview/conversation focused on your life, your story, your legacy. This can take place in-person (if based in San Francisco/Bay Area) or remotely. A photo of your choosing will be requested as well as the name of your choosing to be identified as.
Over the Rainbow Project will add your story, photo, and name to an archive that will available digitally so that anyone can listen to what you’ve shared.
Over the Rainbow Project is also looking for organizations (such as TLGBQIA2S+ centers, hospices, etc) to partner with to offer legacy projects to their participants and end-of-life education (such as advance care directive planning, dnr, etc) to their community.
If you are interested in working with Over the Rainbow Project, fill out to contact form below! If you want to keep up with the project without participating, sign up for updates at the bottom of the page and/or follow along on Instagram and TikTok at @projectovertherainbow.
